This past Fall, I had the honour of attending Vancouver Kids Fashion Week! The Kids Show is a 2 day event showcasing the cutest and latest for Spring/Summer 2018 from local designers and abroad. Some of the highlights from the runway were the wide brim hats (love!), earth tones and Pinafore dresses.
EXPERIMENTING WITH STYLE
It was exciting and fun to get dressed up, walk the red carpet and take some fun photos. I’m no fashion expert by any means but I do love experimenting with trends and classics. My current go-to style is usually feminine with a little bit of edge: think flowy florals with a moto jacket or sneaks. This winter, I am really loving the exaggerated details like big bows and belts on trousers and puffy and ruffled sleeves.
VKFW MAGAZINE EDITORIAL
Vancouver Kids Fashion Week puts out a publication of the highlights from the show and I am one of their featured bloggers this year (p. 4)!
They also asked me to write for it and I said, “hell yes!”
My piece is on “7 Must Haves For Your Winter Workout Wardrobe” (p. 42).
Here are some of my favourite pieces for layering:
After the show, we grabbed a late lunch, did some shopping and of course topped it all off with some gelato:
Such a fun girls day out! Looking forward to the 2018 show!
What a fun day! Your recommendations for layering are spot on. Nice article. Congrats!
