Confession: I am a MASON JAR HOARDER. I actually have one large cabinet that is just dedicated for jars. Each time I attempt to give them away, I always find a reason to hold on to them. It’s a sickness, really. Haha. But who wouldn’t want to contract something that can be this pretty?
Having planned a bunch of baby showers and bridal showers over the years, they have had plenty of use! My go-to decor are mason jars, tied multiple times with a ribbon or string, with a few sprigs of baby’s breath. I thought I’d change it up for Valentine’s Day. I found some canvas heart stickers at the dollar store and immediately brought them home. I hadn’t intended on 4 different designs but after playing around with some other materials I had laying around, I couldn’t help myself. They look cute individually and even prettier in multiples of 3 or more.

- If using stickers, skip to step 2. If using fabric or felt, cut out enough hearts for your jars, about 1.5-2″ in diameter.
- Measure the burlap and cut to fit around the jar. Secure with glue dots or adhesive.
- Centre the heart on the burlap and apply adhesive. Vary the width of the burlap to create different looks.
- Fill your jars with flowers, greens/shrubs, branches, pens, straws, cutlery, lollipops…
Style 3
- If using stickers, skip to step 2. If using fabric or felt, cut out enough hearts for your jars, about 1.5-2″ in diameter.
- Cut a doily in half and wrap around the jar.
- Wrap twine around jar several times, adjusting the strands before tying into a bow. Centre the bow in the front.
- Fill your jars with flowers, greens/shrubs, branches, pens, straws, cutlery, lollipops…
Style 4
